What We Believe
We are a Bible Believing Church. Before you can be Saved you must believe that Jesus Christ lived and that He is the Son of God. You must believe that He died for the sins of the world and that He is risen from the dead. You must confess and acknowledge that you are a Sinner in need of Salvation.
We believe that EVERYONE must be born of the water and the Spirit to enter the Kingdom of God. We believe the instructions Apostle Peter gave in Acts 2:38 are correct and still relevant to all seeking salvation. You must receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in tongues as the Spirit of GOD gives the utterance. Not to be confused with the Gift of Tongues mentioned in Corinthians. Believing Gods' Word and Receiving GODS' Spirit are two different events. Repentance is necessary for salvation. Also according to the teaching and example of the Apostles, water baptism is to be administered by immersion in the Name of Jesus. Jesus is the Saving Name of GOD.Acts 4:12, "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only WAY to GOD. Jesus is fully GOD and was fully man while on earth. We believe that Jesus is God manifested in the flesh and that Jehovah of the Old Testament is One and the same as Jesus of the New Testament in Spirit. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of God. Deut. 6:4, "Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:" We believe that God is ONE and has revealed Himself to Mankind as the Father, Son, and HolyGhost. These are different manifestations of the Same GOD.
We believe in Holiness. We cannot earn salvation but according to James 2:14-17, "faith without works is dead..." and dead faith cannot save us. Heb. 12:14 tells us that without holiness, no one shall see the LORD. Through the power of the Holy Ghost we believe that every born again believer can overcome sin. God has sanctified us by His Spirit and made us holy, therefore we ought to present ourselves a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. We believe God also gives grace to the believer to grow in the faith to full maturity. In 1 John 2:1 the Apostle encourages the striving Child of God by saying, " My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." Therefore God has made all the necessary provisions for us to make it if we faint not!
We believe that the CHURCH is distinct from the nation of Israel. We are a part of the Body of Christ, made up of believers in Jesus Christ. We accept the entire Bible as the Word of GOD but are recipients of the New Covenant not the Old which has been taken away that the New may be established according to Heb. 10:9.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: Therefore it is important that we don't mistake the Old Covenant with the Old Testament scripture. Although the Old Covenant is taken away the Old Testament scriptures are irreplaceable!!!! 1 Cor. 10:11 says these are for our example: written down to warn us who live at the end of the world. Therefore the Old Testament and the New Testament must be preached in order for Believers to reach perfection in Christ. As a ministry we are very careful to teach God's Word in its original context as to draw relevant meaning and application to the lives of believers today.
